I have put a couple of challenges out to the students of Lyn Knoll. I have challenged the students to come to school every day and also to read 25 books by the time we come back from Spring break.
Principal’s October Newsletter
Dear Lyn Knoll Families,
We are coming to the end of the first quarter and report cards will be coming home soon. You will notice a difference with our report cards this year. Lyn Knoll is a trial school in implementing this new report card for the District. It gives you a little more information on some of the things that teachers are looking for during the quarter and lets you know where your child should be with those items. Teachers base the grade for each student based on a body of evidence (many things that he/she has collected and observed during the quarter) and whether your child has met the state standard in a specific curriculum area. If you have questions about this report card please make sure you talk with your child’s teacher. We will be talking about this report card at our parent coffee in October and probably answering more questions about it at our November parent coffee.
